Manufacturing Sector Rebound
Dony Garment Co Ltd, located in HCM City’s Tân Bình District, and Việt Thắng Jean Company in Thủ Đức City are among the enterprises that have responded swiftly to the upsurge in export orders. Dony Garment Co Ltd, employing 100 workers, has increased production to meet orders from the EU, the Middle East, the US, and Japan, totaling $2 million. Similarly, Việt Thắng Jean Company has resumed operations to fulfill orders until mid-2022, reflecting the positive momentum in Vietnam's manufacturing landscape.
Economic Recovery Amidst Challenges
Despite the challenges posed by supply chain disruptions and labour shortages, the overall outlook for Vietnam's manufacturing sector remains promising. Indicators such as the Index of Industrial Production registering notable growth and resilient exports reaching an estimated $27.3 billion highlight the sector's resilience and contribution to the country's economic recovery amidst the ongoing pandemic challenges.
